This is a simple application to set the electrical interface mode of the 3540
four-port serial card on a Linux system. The application uses the iopl() call
to gain access to the IO ports, so that we may write control values directly to
the card, meaning that it is necessary to have root privileges to run this app.
At this time no usermode solution to setting the interface mode has been
developed, however, a VERY simple kernel driver module could be designed to
provide the necessary ioctl call to conceivably accomplish the same result.

NOTE: This application REQUIRES root privileges to execute properly.
