SeaCOM for Linux v1.3
August 2009

This package is for use with Sealevel Systems, Inc. async serial devices.
Since Sealevel products are based on standard UART chips, the built-in 8250
(ISA, PC/104, PCMCIA, PCI, PC/104+, cPCI, PCI Express) and ftdi_sio (USB)
Linux drivers work well for most applications. Occassionally an additional
feature of a particular UART may be desired. Sealevel has provided diff
patches against kernel source that make use of extra UART features in the
patches directory. The source code for all example programs and utilies
is included in this release. A simple makefile is included to build all
the tools and examples contained herein. Note that some utilites may
require additional third party libraries, which have been included in
this package when possible.

To build everything in this package simply use the command "make". From the
root of the package.

Installation of this package requires root privileges and most of the utilities
also require root privileges to function.

Most Sealevel products can be used by the methods documented in the Linux Serial
how-to located in the dox directory of this package. More specific information
is provided for devices that require further configuration in the pdf guides
found in the dox directory.
