- Fixed various minor bugs

****************************************************************************
If you have not upgraded for awhile you may be surprised to see that the
following major features have been added to the HyperLogger / HyperWare
System:

Added RF Modem Support
----------------------

HLIM-9 Support
--------------
Support for HLP-10 HyperLogger Power Plus
Support for Mettler Toledo scale Interface

PCMCIA Enhancements
-------------------
Modifications were made to make PCMCIA memory card operation more reliable and robust.

Ethernet Comm. Enhancements
---------------------------
Direct setting of TCP/IP Port number is now allowed. This provides compatibility
with a greater number of Serial to Ethernet adapters.

Delay Icon
----------
Allows for a user specified time delay on logic transitions

Stopwatch Icon
--------------
Measures the width, in time, of a digital pulse

Scheduler Icon
--------------
Schedules an event based upon periodic time or the calender.
For example: regular HAP reporting, pager testing, status reports.

HLIM-7 Support
--------------
This version supports the new HLIM-7 Isolated Analog Interface Module.

Low Lithium Cell Warning Upon Connect
-------------------------------------
HyperWare now checks the status of the Clock/Memory backup battery upon connecting.
To a logger. If the voltage is low, a message box is displayed.

Multiple Delete
---------------
Multiple icons can be deleted by holding down the shift key.
This version of contains several small enhancements and bug
fixes.

Pager Wakeup of Cell Phone
--------------------------
This version supports the CPPM Cell Phone Power management system.

Starting with V4.12, there are now two separate versions of HyperWare, one has
Ethernet Communication capability while the other does not. In order to run the
Ethernet capable version, Win95, Win98 or WinNT must be running on the host
computer, and the TCP/IP protocol must be installed. Instructions for installing
TCP/IP can be found by opening the Windows Help file, selecting the Index tab,
and entering "TCP/IP protocol, installing".

Not all users are planning to use the Ethernet Communication capability and
do not wish to install the TCP/IP protocol. Because of this, along with the fact
that TCP/IP is not an inherent part of in Windows 3.x (Although third-party
versions are available), a separate version of HyperWare is supplied that does
not contain any TCP/IP features.

Both versions are copied to the hard-drive during installation. HyperWare should be
launched using the appropriate icon, depending on which version of Windows
is installed on the PC. The names of the program files for the two versions is
as follows:

	Ethernet (TCP/IP) enabled version: hyperlog.exe.
	Non-Ethernet capable version: hlog16.exe.

If desired, some disk space can be freed by deleting the version that is not
being used. Simply delete the appropriate file from the installation directory.
(Default is C:\hyperwar).

MLIM-7 Support
--------------
This version supports the new MLIM-7 Isolated Analog Interface Module.

Multiplexer Icon
----------------
This new icon has two Data Inputs and a single Data Output. It also has a Select
Input. The select input is a Logic type input that can be used to chose which of
the two input values is sent to the output.

Remote Constant Icon
--------------------
The Remote Constant is similar to the existing Constant icon. However, its Data output
can be changed by the user during net execution. This capability is similar to the Remote
Control Icon, only it has a Data output instead of a Logic output.

Probe Point Auto Naming
-----------------------
Now, when a Probe Point icon is connected to another icon, If the Probe doesn't already
have an Icon Name, it is given the same name as the icon it is being connected to.

Tracking Window output formatting
---------------------------------
The formatting of the values in the Real-Time-Tracking window has been modified for clarity.

Separate Comm Port/Baud Info
----------------------------
Now separate Comm Port and Baud Rate info is stored for the different communication types.
(RS-232, Telephone Modem, etc.)

Warm-Up Timer
-------------
Some modifications were made to the Warm-Up Timer icon for efficiency.

Ethernet Connectivity
----------------------
HyperWare can now communicate with via an Ethernet
connection. Note: This functionality is not available in the Windows 3.x
version of HyperWare.

HAP Icon
-------------
The HAP icon is used in conjunction with the HyperWare Automation Program
(HAP) application. Hap is a stand-alone application separate from HyperWare, that automates
most of HyperWares communication functions. When the HAP icons input goes TRUE, the icon
will initiate communication with a PC that is running the HAP application. The icon will tell
HAP which functions to perform. based on the information entered in the configuration dialog.
HAP will then proceed to perform those functions.

Histogram Icon
---------------
The Histogram icon compares its input value with a user specified range. If the input value
falls within the range, its internal counter is incremented. When a user specified number of
inputs have been compared, the icon outputs its count.

Remote Control Icon
--------------------
The Remote Control icon has a logic output that can be controlled real-time by the user. This
output can be connected to the logic input of any other icon.

Text Note Icon
---------------
The Text Note icon provides a means to add user comments to a specific portion of a net program.
This icon is located at the right-hand end of the sipnnable toolbar as depicted below.

Rate of Change Icon
---------------------
The Rate of Change icon calculates and outputs the rate of change of a signal for a user
specified number of samples. A sliding calculation is performed each time the input is updated. For example, if the user-entered number of samples is 5, after the 5th sample is taken, the 1st and 5th samples are used for the calculation. The next time sample is taken, the 2nd and 6th are used and so on.

HyperWare V4.00 also contains some modifications to existing icons.

NOTE: V4.00 is compatible with Net Programs created with previous versions.

Warning Icon
--------------
The previous version of this icon could be set to turn its output ON when the memory became
full. The updated icon can be programmed to turn its input ON when memory is filled to a user
specified percentage. Also, the "Power Low" checkbox has been deleted. The Supply Voltage Icon
provides more flexible access to this information.

Average Icon
-------------
This icon can be used in the same manner as previous versions. This is referred to as the
"Conventional Average". There is also a new mode of operation, the "Sliding Average". The
sliding average can be used to smooth noisy signals. When configured as a sliding average,
every time the icon receives an updated input, a new average is calculated and output. The
average will be calculated by dropping the oldest value, adding the new value then dividing
by the Number of Samples Per Average.

Delta Icon
-----------
The Delta icon can now be programmed to periodically output a sample regardless of the value of
its input.

Math Icon
----------
A new function has been added. ZERO(X) will output zero if X is negative, and output X
otherwise.

Year 2000 Compliance
--------------------
This version fixes a minor bug that caused problems when attempting
to set the Logger's time to a date later than 12/31/99.

Supply Voltage Icon
-------------------
This new input icon allows measurement of the system supply voltage from
within a HyperNet Program. Use to record supply voltage or alarm on user
defined low power conditions.

Periodic Output Icon
--------------------
This icon is used to output a user defined square wave/pulse within a
HyperNet Program. Typical uses include periodic cycling of a relay, or
digital output as well as inserting a time delay into a Logic branch
of the Program Net.

Multi-Level Passwords
---------------------
The HyperLogger password system has been completely revamped. Five
passwords can now be entered, a Master and four Users. Each User password
can be to configured to grant/deny access to individual HyperLogger
functions.

Real-Time Trending
------------------
Starting with HyperWare Version 3.10, a powerful new real-time
graphic Trending data display is available from within HyperWare.
With the addition of real-time Trending, up to 8 channels of
Probe Point data can be displayed graphically in a daughter window
within the HyperTrack Window. Graphic trending and Scrolling can
be run simultaneously and multiple windows of each function can
be open.

HLIM-2 Digital Module
-------------------------
The Hyperlogger can now support the HLIM-2 interface module. This module has
4 individually programable channels and can be configured for any combination
of Event, Counter, and Frequency input signals.

HLIM-4 Resistance Module
-------------------------
The Hyperlogger can now support the HLIM-4 interface module. This module has
4 individually programable channels and can be configured for any combination
of RTD, Thermistor, and Resistance input signals.

PCMCIA Memory Card Support
--------------------------
With this release, the HyperLogger can now utilize SRAM memory cards for:

Expanded Memory - taking data storage up to 400,000+ samples

Collected Data Transport - just unplug the card and return to the
office PC where the card can be downloaded using the PD-1
external PCMCIA card drive and HyperWare

Reprogramming of field HyperLoggers - copy a new Program Net onto
the card in the office... carry it out to the HyperLogger
and plug it in... the HyperLogger will start running from
the Program Net on the card.

See Chapter 6 in the manual for details.

IMPROVED FILE POST-PROCESSING
-----------------------------
Individual Post-Processing Nets can now be made and saved. These nets can
then be used for repetitive processing of repetitive Download Files (eg
daily downloads). See the Chapter on Post-Processing for details.

DATA FILE MERGE
-----------------------------
Two HyperLogger Download Files can now be merged into one Destination File
through the use of the new Merge feature within the Post-Processing Window.

With this powerful feature, BEFORE and AFTER test data can be collected in
separate logging sessions, combined into a new Merge file and further
analyzed / compared. (see HyperPlot Data Channel Time Shifting addition
below)

HYPERPLOT DATA CHANNEL TIME SHIFTING
-------------------------------------
Within HyperPlot, individual channels can now be time shifted. This
powerful feature facilitates BEFORE and AFTER test data analysis by
simply providing User control of time alignment / registration, and
visual comparison of multiple data traces.

ENHANCED DOWNLOAD FILE USER COMMENTS FEATURE
---------------------------------------------
With every Download of data, a dialog displays allowing for extensive User
comments and annotation of the collected data. From within HyperPlot and
the Post-Processing Window, the File Information is easily viewed.

One more powerful tool for keeping that data organized!

EXTENDED ROTARY MODE LOGGING
-------------------------------------
Now logging in the Millisecond Mode can run for up to 40 days before
requiring a data download.

ADDITIONAL ICONS
-----------------
Time Integral Icon - have the HyperLogger calculate flows, power
and more... all done with the integration function
			within HyperNets

Duty-Cycle Icon - processes the percentage of ON or OFF time
for Event type inputs (eg motor run time loading)

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS UPGRADING FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF HYPERWARE:
-------
In past releases of HyperWare, a program (launch.exe) has been provided that
displays the HyperWare graphic while HyperWare is loading. This program
has caused problems with HyperWare on some systems and has been
eliminated from this release. Launching HyperWare now takes you directly
into the program.

This program called launch.exe is located in the Hyperwar directory and can
be deleted. Program Groups generated during previous installs of past
versions of HyperWare called this program. To preclude future problems, it
is recommended that Program Groups (or the HyperWare Program Item) from
previous installations be removed.

Upon installation, this release creates a Group called HyperWare Vx.xx
and it should be left intact. (if accidently deleted, the software can
be installed again or a group built in Program Manager).
